Floyd is more versatile than RJJ.

Floyd may have better skills, but Roy in his prime may have been more exciting to watch..

WTF are you talking about ?

Primes are based on recent performances & fmj has looked as good as ever in his last few fights.

Actual years are not the same as ring years, fmj is very much still in his prime at age 35 due to always being in condition, living well between fights & taking little wear n tear damage throughout his 42 fight career.

Floyd is the 'bad guy' people hate him, they get irrational in their hatred of him and long to see him brutally beat down and stretchered while with a guy like Roy Jones he was seen as a good guy with a unique attack based style that people loved to watch but now that his reflexes have gone you've got this guy who's being KO'd by almost every boxer he fights and people really feel sorry for him that's why they want to grab their rose tinted glasses and make up scenarios where he's the GOAT and by doing this they can then trick themselves into believing that Jones is somehow better then Floyd.

I agree and reading this will just infuriate them. Instead of addressing your point they will try to attack you in attempt to feel better about themselves.

    Which is quite sad really.

Can't compare. Roy went from prime to drained and shot in a matter of months, whereas Floyd has gradually slipped past his physical prime, but is only just leaving his overall peak as a fighter.

Another interesting thing to note is Jones never took any serious punishment in his prime (like Floyd) so like Floyd he should have had something left in the tank to dig deep at the end of his career but instead one punch literally finished him.

Also for the sake of this thread I wont mention that Jones was busted for steroid abuse while Mayweather is one of the first guys tpushing to make blood tests mandatory for boxers.
