the constant flush body shots are what changed the complexion of the fight. that one punch simply sealed the deal

It took him 11 rnds to put away an old weak chin Casa. and it took Pac 9 rounds to stop a dude who fought at jnr welter. Casa is really shot. And so Jmm > Katsidis. Diaz is ****. So i guess Jmm win is a bit more special. PAc would prolly floor Casa in 10.

Its actually a tough call but I'd go with Marquez's win over Casamayor. Even though he has really slipped I'd still pick Casamayor to beat Diaz, actually that is a good fight that I'd like to see. While Marquez beat the better fighter he wasn't quite as dominant in his win as Pacquaio was. But quality matters more so I''ll take Marquez over Cassamayor as the better wini.

I'm more impressed of JMM's showing. I just thought Casa is much legitimate fighter than Diaz in LW division.

JMM knocked out a guy who has never been KO'ed and whose losses were close and could have gone the other way.

this is just silly. diaz and casa are like a plough horse and a race horse respectively. only in the modern era of the alphabet titles could diaz have become a title holder. casa, on the other hand, could have competed with the best in any era.
the level of decline in casamayor's skill will be consistent with your love or hate of jmm as there is no way to accurately gauge this so it comes down to opinion not fact, get it straight.

    What are you Sandwhich crazy????

Diaz has tons of heart but no power, limited skills, slow, and to top it off a bad style to go against a strong, faster opponent.

Whereas Casamayor though old is very, very skilled, still fast and has always had power. Also Pac handles pressure fighters well (as does Marquez) but both pac and marquez have harder times with tricky, skilled counter punchers. The better win is Marquez' and it's not even close.

    Pacman he SHELLACKED Diaz.

Marquez up to the point of the KO, was a close fight.

Man, just imagine how much a third fight would make between these two.

handpicked a champion of the division? not in the case of diaz who beat the hell out the "bull". Pacman is just simply outstanding in his fight against Diaz

I say both are equally impressive considering these were their 1st foray at the light weight division, and even faced title holders.

Pac totally wiped the floor with a natural lightweight in Diaz and gave out a completely one-sided shellacking punctuated by a picture perfect money shot that resulted in a KO. It was so one-sided that it was comparable to the beatings given by Calzaghe to Lacy.

JMM, on the other hand, showed his usual class and superior skills againts a cagey and wily veteran with an impressive performance which also ended with a late TKO. Displaying sharp combinations and calculated aggressiveness, he proved he has not lost any of his technique and skills even at his age, and considering this was his 1st fight as well at 135.

David Diaz couldn't clearly beat a shot no punch Morales. Btw Casa wasn't shot at all. Sure many thought Cruz beat Casa but people seem to forget that Casa had a year layoff before facing Cruz. Normally a year layoff would effect a fighter ability. If there were a rematch i put my money on casa.

Casa didn't quit against Diego Coralles (rip) Acelino Frietas, nate cambell or Jose Luis Castillo who are bigger punchers than pac what makes you think CASA would give up against Pac? CAsa is also a cagey vet who whether you like it or not would present problems to anyone. Marquez is just the best technician of this era and even he had a bit of trouble . tell me this how would Marquez vs David Diaz look?

    Pacman: Here's why...

He had demolished David Diaz's face brutally in round 3. The fight would have been over on cuts. Instead he coasts "EASILY" for a round 9 KO. That's right...KO.

JMM on the other hand goes even into the 11th...stops an old Casa. The refs don't even let Casa the warrior get up, instead the ref swarms him football style from getting up and continuing on. the JMM win was tainted.:smoke
