More Impressive Resume: Froch Or Calzaghe

I agree.

MOST people on this thread are basing Froch's resume ON POTENTIAL to surpass Calzaghe's.
But you DON'T say someone's resume is better than someone else's based on potential.

Just on who they've fought now, there is NO WAY Froch's resume is better than Calzaghe's.

Older Sakio Bika gave Andre Ward a really hard fight.
Older Bernard Hopkins basically schooled Jean Pascal.
Older and eye-damaged Kessler beat Froch in a close fight.

These are guys Calzaghe defeated years before they did these things again. And even if you say that Hopkins won against Calzaghe, MOST of the guys who argue that Hopkins won ONLY have their scorecards EKING out a Hopkins victory of 6-6 with the 1 KD causing a win for Hopkins. That's freaking close. And Calzaghe was no spring chicken in that fight. The man retired at 37 FFS.

 

Calzaghe obviously. Predictably, there are many ******ed responses here from Sugar Joe's haters.

Froch will have to beat Ward & Kessler if he wants his record to rival Calzaghe's

 

Froch has several fights left and has already surpassed this fraud.

Froch's is better. He's a real man who hunts the best fighters as soon as he becomes world champion, not a cowardly career-strategizing cherrypicker who fights bums for 9 years until the name fighters of his era are years past their best. Only fight on Calzaghe's resume I rate is Kessler, Froch has fought much better fighters in a much shorter space of time. By the time Froch hangs them up, this won't even be a debate.
