    Floyd Mayweather:

    WBC titles at: 130, 135, 140, 147, 154
Record in WBC title fights: 17-0
Wins over Hernandez, Manfredy, Corrales, Chavez, Castillo, Gatti, Baldomir, DLH, Hatton

    Vitali Klitschko

Record in WBC title fights: 2-1
    WBC HW titlist
Wins over Danny Williams and Golf Sanders
5 cancellations in wbc title/eliminator fights

i voted for vitali because what he did was more rare. other guys have won 17 wbc title fights or belts in 3 or 4 or so divisions, but nobody else has cancelled a fight 5 straight times.

that is a unique achievement, unlikely to ever be duplicated in modern-day boxing

And Mayweather hasn't beaten Danny Williams.

Mayweather is emeritus champ at 147 or 154?

If its 154, then Vitali is more impressive.

If its 147, then Floyd is more impressive

Vitali's 34 KOs in 35 wins is pretty impressive. Clean KO, and doesn't leave it up to the judges, Foreman style. Very impressive. And you know, KO is what makes the boxing world go round, and it always will. That's just the facts of life. I'll take KO boxing over Tag or Track and Field anytime.

Are we talking about Vitaly's Emeritus Championship of the Heavyweight belt or his Emeritus Championship of quitting or being TKOed when he was supposedly winning the fight?

I'll take an ugly decision win, or a vicious 10th round KO in an ugly fight over this:

Rahman would take that also. He was lucky it was cancelled.

Rahman would probably rather get paid a few million and lose, then to have his opponent cancel 4 straight times.

But enough about Vitali Klitschko's amazing "virtual reality" resume.

What he actually did do, cancelling 5 straight times, is a unique achievement that is unlikely to ever be duplicated.

    Long live Brittley!!

I don't think anybody should even talk about this "emeritus" nonsense unless it's in the most derogatory of terms. You're just encouraging them.

Chaguev has been given the status of "Champion in Recess" by the WBA , is this the same as the WBC Champion Emeritus? I thought a fighter had to be retired to achieve such status.
