Byrd outboxed Vitali and made him quit. I've seen Chambers beat Adamek with one arm after tearing his shoulder, no excuse for what Vitali did.

Vitali simply wanted to get out of there as fast as he could, he couldn't deal with Byrd at all.

Byrd was actually a very good fighter and as I recall the injury didn't happen until about the ninth round. Martin is a **** fighter and Glazkov slipped and tore his ACL fighting him in the third round. I'd go with Byrd on this one. I don't rate the victory at all since he was losing every round on the way to being knocked out, but it was better than what happened with Martin the other day.

Vitali was ahead on the scorecards, but the cards didn't reflect on the fight itself, which was a competitive fight. Byrd was making Vitali fight hard and Byrd had his moments. Martin was getting outboxed by Glaskov and put pressure once he knew he was falling behind, but it was Glaskov who hurt himself by throwing a punch, yet Martin cameout with the most comical theory that the force of his punches injured Glaskov's leg. The whole crowd was in disbelief with the fight and even moreso to hear this guy trying to get credit for something he never did. I'm happy for the guy, he won the lottery, makes some money, but he's no champ. Other more deserving fighters.
