More moderation for the British forum? Vote in the poll

OK i deleted a couple of posts there, let's not start saying who is whose alt at this time. But I will say that a low-level threshold banning policy for say, the next month, would probably see three guys posting in this thread bombed out. I'm not sure anyone really wants that, so we'll let some discussion run tomorrow and then on Saturday we'll come up with a plan, even if it is a **** plan.

 

OK if you want to be banned, DM me in 24 hoursish and i'll take care of it.

 

To be absolutely clear: if you say "i will watch the fight one way or another [in the pub for example]" you 100% run the risk of being permanently removed from the forum. That is the world you post in. People just need to provide as much attention to their posts as they do crossing a moderately busy street; but that is the way the world is now. That is this place, that's the way it is, in opposition to the way people want it to be.

Knowing that people should be able to avoid it.

This thread is not for signal-theft chat, so i'll delete all those posts from now on.

 

That's a good start because we could just start hammering people for posting about Matchroom stuff in non-Matchroom threads. I could do that for a bit and see what kind of difference it makes. Obviously Matchroom is the biggest promoter in the country and Eddie is the most famous promoter, so people are going to talk and argue about him loads but only in threads where there is reason.

So if there's a thread where Sunny Edwards is being compared to the wider division and people start wittering about AJ, i'll pun them. What do folks think of that?

I mean obviously we are talking about making British less free to improve the quality.

 

Well maybe we could just use that as a sort of master for all this Matchroom/Dazn/AJ chat.

 

Ok i'm going to lock this thread up for tonight but i will open it up first thing tomorrow for more chat, but try to make it constructive. This place has went **** and maybe we can think of some ways to make it better. If you wanted to type a post and you can't, don't be sad, just polish it and you can post it tomorrow. So far things to think about:

1) Should we issue warnings and bans for any Matchroom/AJ/Eddie/DAZN chat in threads where it is not relevant?

2) Should we have a master thread for all that type of chat?

3) Should we lower the threshold of bans for this forum in the area of concern (including alts)?

 

It would be good today if we got some practical suggestions as to how we might move on in British and make it a bit better. I've made some, share your opinions on those and make any of your own. Do try to inform yourself by reading the thread though so "ban the alts", if you want to make that statement make it in the light of the information that's been presented to you.
