I wouldn't want this fight to come to fruition. If a way past prime jones gets beat then we'll never hear the end of it
I actually read in a MMA forum some dude said that under boxing rules with boxing gloves Jones jr wins and then went to say that with boxing rules and MMA gloves Silva wins......I don't think he realizes that Jones has more speed with Boxing gloves than Silva has with MMA gloves. Jones with 6 oz gloves = 1st degree murder. His hands would be ungodly fast with those little things on and he hits plenty hard enough to put Silva in a coma
Why doesn't this stupid ***** Silva call out someone in their prime like David Haye?? Then he can get a hole punched into his skull and have his brains spill out of his eyes and ears, because thats what someone like Haye would do to a scrub like that. Not saying that Roy can't do the same but this guy has no class calling out a semi retired ATG fighter who is obviously ridiculously past his prime.
I agree, but who could blame Silva, my dad gets paid more a year than half these guys in the MMA. Silva knows a fight with Jones would make more money than all his fights in the MMA combined, I will get knocked out by Jones for 15 or 20 million, he could even retire after that if he wants.
Jones KO 2. This would be the mismatch of the century, regardless of Roy being past prime. Even at this stage of his career, Roy is still a world class fighter. I hope this fight happens to shut up the MMA fanatics for a bit.
The Promotion: Silva is 1-1 in pro fights. Pete Rademacher had zero pro fights and took on Fallin' Floyd. Neon Leon had seven pro fights and beat Ali. The Result: Silva would have 2 chances against Roy, slim & none.
silva gets destroyed by all 3 i mentioned. i thinks he should call out a young prime fighter. i think a fight with Miranda would sell much better and you know miranda would KO him :yep
Considering a vast majority on this board seem to think that this would be a total mismatch in Jones favour, I think it makes total sense for Silva to call him out. If a boxer were to step into an MMA ring/octagon for the first time, I think it would be incredibly stupid to do it against one of their best fighters. Perhaps Silva is a realist. If he's going to be an underdog, does it really make sense for him to be an underdog against one of the upper echelon guys. At least a fight with Jones might be more competitive.
