Um, wasn't UFC looking to sign with a network? And they got a really good deal if i am not mistaken. 300 mil per year for 5 years. (30 events each year)

And supposedly DAZN is going to have more than just boxing. I think they had 10 different sports listed.
Lets wait and see. PBC managed to deliver a handful of big fights, lets see what Eddie delivers.

Some rumors of Chavez Jr. going to DAZN meaning we might finally get Jr. vs Rosado.

Kanat/Rosado would be one sided anyway. As for Chavez Jr, he will be kept active if he signs with Dazn.

Huge Rosado fanboy, but enough with these undefeated top guys. Time to stick to a certain level and build up.

Now young fighters have choices but Mayweather,DelaHoya,BHop have the insight because it's all about what you clear as a fighter after taxes then what you are obligated contractually.

Are you asking if UFC Fight Pass’ end game was signing with a network or that was their fallback plan after it was already failing?

They’ve been with Fox for a few years now so that would have been the natural partnership but they “chose” ESPN because they had no other options.

ESPN+ is also showing multiple sports at just $5/mo, and I don’t expect that to do as well as they anticipate.

So let me get this straight.... boxing fans will need to pay for DAZN, ESPN+, HBO, Showtime, and if there is a fight deemed too good for all of those services, PPV?

Gimme a break. The best don’t even want to fight the best and when they do we get shitty corrupt cards handed in by paid-off judges.

No sane fan will pay for all this BS.

We can all debate whether this is a poor decision on Broner's part.

Some think accepting the deal would secure Broner a substantial amount of cash for the life of the deal, which could be more than he'll earn outside of it considering it's been a while since he is winless in his last two fights. Others may agree he was smart to decline because he stands to make more from other business interests associated with his polarizing career.

No matter what side of the fence you sit in that debate, it's difficult to ignore the decision to publicize details of a private business negotiation. Broner has made himself the villain and to a degree, he has profited from that persona. However, that role is only sustainable if he wins.

This kind of behavior could have a negative impact on future negotiations. The only way for Broner to overcome another promoter's potential hesitancy to deal with him is to maintain his leverage. That leverage comes from the perception that he is still a quality fighter.

At some point, he's going to have to prove he's still a problem in the ring and not just at the bargaining table.

Just look at the HBO and SHO ratings, they are down. They offer bad fights and those are few and far between.
No one is forcing you to pay for any service.

And as far as the UFC goes, they got a better deal with ESPN+ than they did with FOX. And yes, they likely hoped for the Fight Pass to pick up more but so far, so good.

Hearn offers Kownacki 1.5 million dollars for three fights.

Eddie Hearn wants to sign a contract with Adam Kownacki (17-0, 14 KO). The head of the Matchroom Boxing group, which creates a new project of "sports Netflix", is looking for boxers who will take part in an enterprise whose budget reaches one billion dollars. One of them is a Pole who lives in the USA permanently.

According to the portal Boxingtalk.com, Kownacki would have earned one and a half million dollars from Hear for three fights. It seems, however, that the Polish boxer will reject this offer and will remain loyal to the Premier Boxing Champions project. For several years, Kownacki has been cooperating with Al Haymon, who makes the most important decisions regarding his career.

Haymon plans assume that the Pole will come back in August, and his opponent will be the former heavyweight champion Charles Martin. Kownacki's last professional duel was fought in January, winning ahead of time agaist Iago Kiladze.

Premium networks are much better now than they’ve been because of all the quality shows, so I doubt subscribers are down.

I’d ratings are indeed down, it’s because of **** fights/cards. I don’t think adding ANOTHER player into the fold makes it any better.

People thought PBC was going to save boxing. It’s beem pretty terrible sans a few decent fights.

I’ve given up hope on boxing figuring it out with all the promotional companies, networks, and sanctioning bodies hands in the pot.

Networks have enormous amount of competition, and they put out a lot of quality content so i agree on that part. (but boxing subscribers are down on HBO and SHO)

I thought PBC was doing well, but they put on bad fights and had a bad business plan.
Boxing on Spike did good ratings and put on great shows, but Spike dropped them.
