More otherworldly- Floyd @ 130 or Roy @ 160-168

Roy from 1993-2003 was pretty much otherworldly

 

Roy Jones was a level above Floyd. He just toyed with opposition, even if they were very good. Roy Jones was the best ever.
Floyd at 130 is sensational, one of the best.

 

Whitaker was more mentally gifted than Floyd when it came to understanding boxing, but he did not have the other mental faculties of determination, discipline, work ethic quite like Floyd.

 

Roy takes this one as he was in both his physical and mental prime at 168 but I think Floyd became a greater boxer in his later years at a higher weight when his mind got sharp as a razor and he had to out think bigger guys. I'd rank Floyds prime skill set above Roy's best as his IQ got so good it over compensated for the skills he lacked in/didn't tend to use

 

RJJ at 168 was a God with gloves most athletic fighter I've ever seen. PBF at 130 was one of the most complete fighters I've ever seen with no real weaknesses.

 

Both otherwordly duckers. Floyd more.

 

It's hard to assess peek RJJ when for the past decade or so we have had to watch his tragic decline. It's hard to separate and make a reasoned judgement. I guess though, once his physical prowess diminished we were left to observe his ring IQ and it's that criteria where he lacks compared to Floyd.

Mayweather got better (or at least maintained the highest level) as an all-round fighter despite getting older and fighting in higher divisions because he used his ring IQ and experience to fill in the gaps left by the inevitable effects of aging, albeit his physical decline was hard to detect because of his dedicated training regime.

When RJJ's body started to fail him we saw more accurately what he was - and this is said in setting him the very highest benchmark - he was an athlete who happened to box. Floyd was born to do so.

No but I believe Lomachenko has the goods to prove he's one of the TBE's. He will be up there with the tier 1 of TBE's Jones Jr, Ali, Duran, Leonard, Robinson, Napoles and Hearns.
Ahead of the tier 2 TBE's, Whitaker, Hagler, Monzon, Pep, Pacquiao, Floyd, Louis, Marciano, Charles, Spinks etc.

 

Roy Jones Jr had top 10 hand speed ever. He was untouchable. Powerful.
He was the perfect fighter from like 93 to 02? Flashy. Entertaining.

Floyd is a master strategists. Top 10 defense ever. At 130 he was a destroyer. Wth happened to that Floyd?
