Green did try to fight like that. Watch the tape. It has always been the way to fight an outside fighter who works with range. Green could not make it work as he got countered. Woods did make it work which was good for him. Can Geale do that? I think can can but Mundine is defferent than the euro fighters so we will see.

I think Geale is better off just trying to box Mundine. His feet and hands are faster in 2012.

 

green fought mundine 1 kg lighter than when he went to hospital with critical dehydration after the sullivan fight. green could have died that night. if the fight went 1 more round with sullivan, green would have been kod, and might have died.

green was fighting at his wrong weight in those days. your body eats fast twitch muscle first when you are starving or not following a very structured nutrition program. green beat himself before the fight when he fought mundine.

"chin"in boxing means punch resistance. Its a general term

 

Garth Wood and Daniel Geale couldn't possibly be more different in style and approach. So it's pointless Geale taking too much notice of how Wood went about it.

If Wood had an uppercut in his tool kit he would have won the second fight by KO as well. Lost count of the number of times Mundine had his chin sticking out begging to be hammered from underneath and Wood was at the right distance but just didn't possess the punch.

Daniel Geale won't need to make radical changes to beat Mundine. His best is now superior to Mundine's, as he'll demonstrate on the night.

doesnt change the FACT sven ottke had 3 KO's in his career. one of them was mundog...in a coma. he had a couple of TKOs as well. he had a 17% ko rate....

geale has a 51% KO rate....

since their last controversial SD fight, geale is 3 years better, and won 2 world titles against quality opponents. mundog is 3 years older, faded, never won a world title, and has a glass jaw...

 

He had 34 fights, 17% of 34 is about 5.8 .... So he musta had 6 KO's

 

Surely you can see for yourself how little sense that makes

Mundine has taken good shots and stood up and same with khan.
and they have taken shots which has put them in real trouble!!
i rate them equal!
