When that fight happens, Ward had better win in a one sided shutout.

How would it look in the(casual) public eye if the #2 p4p fighter in the world barely scrapes by(or loses) to a guy coming up in weight? A guy who isn't even in most p4p list's top 10. What if there is an accidental or "accidental" headbutt? How will Ward look complaining to the ref about GGG's use of his head when Ward initiates a clinch? What if GGG manages to do do the second hardest thing in boxing right now and lands clean on Ward's chin, scoring a KD?
Ward isn't the most popular fighter and struggling to beat a MW in his first fight at SMW, wouldn't be the best for Ward's popularity. Ward has one out, and that is winning in dominant fashion.

As much as I like GGG I think Ward would be too big and too strong for him. That's like 80/20 fight in favor of ward imo . But Ward is extremely boring and has no fans , GGG is a foreigner and doesn't even speak english well , but more people watch his fights than Ward's who fights on the same network and is considered #2 p4p fighter by most people, so that pretty much tells you how boring ward is and why GGG is worth more than Ward.

I think we are talking about different kinds of people.

You seem to be referring to rational adults who can think for themselves and make their own decisions.

I think so too. When Kellerman say Golovkin is in there to knock you out. He is also explaining why the interest in his fights. For Ward, Kellerman might phrase his p4p talent and IQ which by itself most casual fans are not interested in seeing.

If Ward fought Adama on Saturday the fight would still be going on as we speak if not for the 12 round limit.

Ward will not fight Stevenson at 168. Ward will not go up in weight, nor will he fight outside his home town................Golovkin is a small middleweight and can go down to 154 if he has to. Those wanting Golovkin to up up 8 lbs, do not want Ward to go up 7 lbs, and do not want Ward to fight Stevenson even at 168! Stevenson called out Ward live on HBO, so why aren't Ward fans calling for Ward to fight Stevenson? Those who want Golovkin to go up in weight before he has a chance to get big fights with Martinez, Quillin, Sturm, must really hate Marvin Hagler, since he fought at 160 his entire career...............Hopkins fought at 160 for many years. How about Monzon?
