I feel that a lot of Mexican fans think of Chavez Jr like a son or brother since his father was so great so they feel they have to cheer for him. But Mexican fans think Alvarez has what it takes and his unique look as well. IMO
El Canelo, but Chavez Jr not far behind. Jr only big because of his dad; he's put his dad in a bad spot with controversial after controversial win pre-Roach. Canelo abit more humble and earning his way with his fists and his style. It's clearly Canelo.
I live in Cozumel Mexico and I would say easily Canelo. Chavez jr. not that big of a deal. His father definately was huge. When Canelo fights everyone watches. They are overhyped for him wanting him to fight Mayweather and Pacquiao.
damn I feel bad for the mexican fans if these are their two biggest hero's...their bound to be let down the moment either one of them fights a legit opponnent and gets KTFO. They're both brutal KO's waiting to happen. There are so many better active Mexican fighters than these 2 jokers.
Alvarez because of his accomplishments and great charisma and look. Then comes chavez only banking on his fathers popularity and that brushes up on him'... Canelo is his own man though and will be the CASH cow in the future. JR should be a solid name.
Unfortunately, you are right. Both are decent, but they will be beat once they step it up in competition.
