Are you saying Tyson has seen his share of 10" schlongs? :eyepop:

Clay's speed was was utilized almost exclusively from the outside and he had immense elusiveness to go with that handspeed, again, from the outside. Apples and oranges as Tyson will be boring forward into that favored midrange and lo and behold Liston too is awesome at midrange while also being a better outfighter and infighter than Tyson.

Patterson did indeed pack a very good wallop even if it is a level below Tyson. The thing is Liston isn't going to shut up shop when Tyson rushes him. Covering up and backing off lets him set the pace and find those excellent angles thru which to hammer people. He's almost impossible to hit square when you are going backward or fighting negative and that's why we barely saw him hit hard and square until the Bruno fight in which he wore more than usual. Sure he'd dumped his trainer and all but the key to putting proper heat on him is to throw when he's attacking and even throwing or.........force him back. Liston would absolutely do this at various intervals so it comes down to who survives. I edge to Liston............you overwhelmingly favor Tyson.

That reminds me, i haven't voted!!!!! Feel free to race in there and change your vote based on the above!!!!!

Not a competition. Most of Liston's best weighed in under the current cruiser limit, and due to rehydration, nearly all of his best would have fought at that weight in today's era.

33 votes for Tyson. If you follow Kabbalah you'll notice 33 is the apex number. The highest degree. Christ's age of death when he ascended to the heavens to join the source. In other words that's a clear sign for Iron Mike. Doesn't get much better than that!

Liston's just too slow for me. He'll have to hold and hold until the danger passes. But that's his undoing here. Tyson won't be a fish in a barrel for Liston to shoot at and that's the comparison with Clay. Liston struggled with speed and movement. Tyson will land, and all too easy, my friend.

Had to get this last post in before the New Year. Here's to 2024, a dangerous year to come.

    Love your work mate

Such was your powers of persuasion I briefly considered slapping my vote to Tyson just now to take him off the apex number..............but just as my cursor approached his hot little radio button i was compelled as if by outside forces to keep on going up to Sonny's.

Liston's average speed is wholly boosted by his excellent technique, superb timing and accuracy. He's also adept at throwing a punch to herd his victim's head into another spot where a second punch is already heading for detonation, among other tricks. He'd look to herd Tyson's head down onto low hybrid hooks and uppercuts. We know he makes adaptations against the style no matter how highly one thinks of poor Floyd. He put on two masterpieces as a matter of fact. His slowness can be taken advantage of by a peak Ali but fighters that keep entering his space are going to get hit and hit hard no matter what their perceived speed. If you let your hands go against Tyson he became a lot more hittable. If you cucked up you got treated like one.

Happy New Year old mate!!! It will be an interesting 2024 for sure.

Mike took punch after punch before going down. Liston got knocked out, on record anyway by Ali who never scored a one punch knockout ever again. Leotis was a cruiser and left Liston completely out. Credit Liston the Marshal fight but Mike was never beaten by a SINGLE punch. Even Lennox had to batter him for round after round before getting the ko.
