I don’t care. The environment here is screwed up anyways. People can’t discuss boxing here without attacking each other, trying to tear others down, being incredible harsh, and uncooperative.

Unlike you smelly farts, I interact with the boxing community outside of this forum. For every poster here that thinks I have terrible interpretive abilities, I have maybe 100 people telling me the opposite.

Quite honestly, despite the potential of this forum, it’s increasingly becoming cancerous. As online communities get better at guiding conversations towards a productive and positive light, this place looks more and more like an antiquated remnants of the Wild West days of the internet.

This place has basically become McVeys Playground. If you run afoul of his liking, which seemingly happens to 25% of the posters here, he will bark and yell and insult and provoke. And seems to have completely reign to do so. I guarantee that you are the largest bottleneck to the forum.

Someone asked in a recent thread: “What happened to all the good posters?” They probably went somewhere where mods cleaned up a little, and made it so that if they expressed their boxing opinion, they wouldn’t get their entire being shattered to pieces by 2-3 ego monsters who are fully dedicated to using this place as a tool to enhance their status over others as opposed to a place where people can learn.

 

RIP Dago Wop. I will miss his many scholarly additions to the dialogue here.

Here's a suggestion for you. Gather some support from those that you say agree with you, request that I be booted, if it doesnt happen LEAVE AND START YOUR OWN FORUM!
You could entitle it something eye catching like :
"Young Kids On The Block Who Think They Know Everything"
Too Short?
How about," Live Off Your Folks While Categorizing Older People As Smelly Old Farts?"
Sound catchy?

 

No doubt he will grace us with his presence before too long.

I have enough respect for this place to at least express my thoughts on how it can improve.
This place has potential. The posters have potential. Even the rude ones.

But if the playground is crappy, the people will be crappy.
Instill some basic rules to make sure things are civil, productive, and respectful. See: Reddit. *shrugs*

What makes this place special and worth revisiting are the topics discussed, and the depth they're discussed in. That's the competitive advantage. What makes this place not worth visiting is the petty bickering, and disrespectful confrontational attitudes. Optimize the good, discard the bad.

None. The extent of my experience is full on sparring with professionals and talented amatuers.
A fact I won't use to put others down with, or to manipulate people with a false sense of superiority.

Just when we are starting to come to terms with the departure of the legendary Perry these heartless mods shut down his would be successor DagoWop. As incredible as Dago's work in this thread has been, particularly the tough guy stuff, nothing will ever eclipse Perry's epic treadmill-breaking Rocky style training montage post.

I expect Dago will be back after a short hiatus , his obscenity to another poster was pretty non pc, but hardly life banning, probably be back by the week -end . I'd guess Perry would be welcomed back by most of us too?
