both are one of boxing's greatest heavyweight punchers of all times.

tyson has a magnificent punching power, so is tua.

in your opinion, who of these 2 have the most punching power?

    vote and discuss. :good

    Obviously, Tua the harder puncher.

It's very hard to say really. There is not much in it, either way.

I think Tyson's power was more proven against a good class of fighter, but Tua seemed to carry more late round KO power.

Ultimately I'd go for the more proven power against good opposition. Tyson.

The question sounds as "more punching power", means harder puncher, not greater puncher. Tyson was a better puncher (could deliver his punches more often and more effectively), but he didn't have as much power in single punch as Tua.
People answering here seem to confuse two things.

Well, Tony Tubbs, Francois Botha and Trevor Berbick may have a thing or two to say about that.

Tua is obviously the harder puncher, and Tyson obviously the better puncher.
To any real boxing fan anyway.

Tyson was the better puncher in his prime, far better than Tua. However, the question being asked who has more punching power and I would say that Tua shades late model Tyson, who became more of a single shot puncher as he got older and slowed down.

In raw power alone I could see myself giving the edge to Tua.

But power is only half the battle. Tyson was by far the superior puncher of the two.
