Lets say they both retire at the same time. One is a very great boxer who retires with an undefeated record but some questions come up about his selection of opponents throughout the years. But there is no denying that he is a great fighter as he has fought some great fighters, but there are quite a few opponents in his record that raise questions. Also, retiring with an undefeated record is no small feat. The other boxer is quite mediocre. He is not as good as the great boxer with the undefeated record, and although his record is also very mediocre as he has taken a good bit of losses to great fighters, he also has a few great wins against great fighters. But he has definitely lost more fights to the great fighters than he has won against them. But you never questioned any of his fights because he would never shy away from a fight. Who in your opinion do you respect more?
Depends on who they fought thought and how they won/lost. I rate Andre Ward over Glen Johnsson but Froch over Sven Ottke. But for the sake of boxing I prefer the guy that fights everyone.
respect for that one who fought all fighters no matter what...the one who at the end of carrier will look at his record and say to himself..."yup I fought them all in their prime, lost some, won some.....but fought them all"...."if there was a challenge and people wanted to see it, I went for it and signed the contract" so yeah I would say if there is any respect on this planet still.....it should be given to those fighters and not the ones that didn't want to fight that guy because his head was strangly large at one point or other guy that was knocking all his opponents left and right....and wait till they get older......
Especially when the fighter's own head ends up growing even larger than the one guy he has been accusing & all the while getting more ripped & adding very noticeable muscle all at the same time compared to his previous fights strangely, funny that's never mentioned though, But yeah i agree with the rest.
Five words (including the words "five" and "words" but not the ones in this parenthesis, obviously, lol): Angel Robinson Garcia.
Well the guy who fought everyone is all well and good, but they have to actually win some of those fights i think it depends on the criteria overall. I think @Guerra made quite a good comparison someone like Sven Ottke, is a clear case of an undefeated fighter who's not highly thought of because he was protected in Germany winning dubious decisions for the most part. But then you have a fighter like Canelo who does fight everyone, but again he's the A side and is always given the benefit of the doubt in close fights. I think Manny Pacquiao is a pretty good example of a fighter who fought everyone and is an ATG.
