More Respected: Abner Mares or Saul Alvarez?

Mares grew up in Cali so this thread is pointless, he's American

 

I don't get how people can say Saul has more potential. He hasn't fought anyone at the time noteworthy to confirm that while Mares may have the best resume in "business with fists" now. Saul has been a better business man but not a more proven pro boxer. I respect both and wish they blossom and turn "business with fists" back into "boxing". Best fights are barely happening and it's killing the sport modern-day wise.

If he beats Moreno I think he's the 2nd best boxer now under Ward.

 

You make virtually no sense

 

canelo must get the cotto, martinez or floyd fight just to be on the discussion for respect if compared to mares.

 

Mares is fighting top guys, not making any fighters move up 2 or 3 divisions. So he's good with me, but all those dirty tactics are tainting his respect, Mares should quit that ****. Not cool at all.

 

Canelo is not even Mestizo, oviosuly Irish immigrant. :hey
