Calzaghe, of course. Lacy was far fresher. People seem to forget that more people were picking him to win that Calzaghe when that fight happened.
Well considering I haven't seen the Jones one i cant really say. Calzaghes' was the very definition of masterclass yet a shot to ****, 40 year old Jones stopped him though. Its funny though, I get the feeling Jones is out to prove how much better than Calzaghe he really was(more so, in his shot to **** state) by beating Calzaghe's most impressive victories more emphatically than a prime Calzaghe did. My guess is we will continue to see a semi-active Jones until he gets some shot at Kessler(or his possible conqueror). Anyone have a link to youtube footage or something? Im curious how the tempo was up until the stoppage.
jones ain't shot to ****. those type of fighters don't beat b (and c plus) level fighters consistently and convincingly as he's done since the johnson fight. shot fighters struggle and lose those type of fights. although jones didn't look good vs calzaghe he made that fight competitive for a good portion of it.
Jones is shot to ****, that's not really up for questioning and beating a fighter of Lacy's caliber doesn't come close to changing things. Beating b/c level fighters just prove how much he's able to do with so little and for the record, he was like an immobile new born giraffe in the Calzaghe fight, I don't know what you're talking about there. It was not at all competitive.
Calzaghe put a pillar to post beating on Lacy. Jones battered him - but Calzaghe's destruction was more thorough.
