Both Tarver and Jones looked bad, but I have to got with Antonio. He looked pathetic. At least Roy brought a little power and still had some speed left for a few rounds.

    What do you think?

tarver-he was literally forcing his punches out from round 8 onwards they were some of if not the weakest punches ive seen thrown in a world title fight.

Jones. at least Tarver was throwing punches.

  4. Jones was better last night than in any fight post & including Ruiz & possibly Woods. Watch those fights before you answer, watch them, his footwork, general activity & speed before you reply in a knee jerk reaction to what I've just said.

It was embarrassing. I couldn't believe how geriatric and ridiculous Tarver looked. ZERO power on his shots.

It was like they grabbed a senior citizen out of the crowd and put oversized gloves on him so that his punches couldn't possibly have any impact. :rofl:rofl

Yeah, I'm passing on that one as well if it's signed. Instead of wearing a jock, Antonio can put his cup in a Depends adult diaper. :rofl:rofl:rofl

Two completely different situations. Tarver was never a great. Roy Jones IS an ATG. A shot Tarver would not be as drastic a change as a shot RJJ.

Their standards are completely different. If Tarver fought how RJJ fought last night, he wouldn't have been considered shot, just generally weak, because he was never much better to begin with.

RJJ on the other hand is a legend and last night was quite a sorry sight for those of us who hoped to see flashes of his brilliance once again.

Ah well. Life goes on. It has to happen to all the legends. If they retire early then we regret not seeing more of them, and if they don't then we regret seeing them shot.

jones by a mil, you have to look at what they were like when they were in there prime and then you will understand that roy was a shadow of his former greatnes, main point was his reflex's were no where near as sharp
i am not taking nothing away from joe c, it was a great win and he desearved it
    But jones was REALLY SHOT
