Roy Jones at least Tarver turned in a performance against Clinton woods. Jones has not done anything for years, and years.

    Tarver, clearly, IMO!

Tarver didn't even manage to do what Jones did against a better fighter. Jones put Calzaghe on his arse and counterpunched/potshotted him well for a very short period of time. Tarver did nothing. He had Dawson hurt and did nothing. He had Dawson standing in front of him for an entire round without doing anything, and he did nothing. Jones had Calzaghe in front of him too...with his hands down, but every time he opened up, he was getting flurried in the face. Just because Jones was further from his peak than Tarver was doesn't mean he was more shot.

jones got humiliated a little that says it all he was SHOT beyond repair
joe c push forward with one flurry and roy would cover up straight away and take punishment, his reflex's were so bad he stopped using them at points

his face has never looked that bad in his whole life, he got busted up
and kept fighting and showed heart, but he was not effective enough to achieve anything and i seriously thought joe could have stopped him

Yeah...but how many fighters better than last night's Calzaghe has he fought, given the state he was himself in, compared to his prime, when he fought them?

Jones looked like ****, but thats because Jones IS ****......

this for any logical person who knows boxing was the expected outcome..... this is why i said "**** this fight" because, it's JCalzaghe vs. a fighter who hasn't done **** in half a decade

    why are people suprised?

    harsh...yet true.

People watched the fight on the hopes that RJJ would show flashes of the old RJJ that was the Legend.

Hindsight is 20/20, and everyone who wanted jones to win should have known that he wouldn't. I was one of them.:-(
