Two Nicaraguan legends, blessed offensively, always in position to punch.

    Who was more skilled?

Arguello is the greater fighter, but I actually side with Choco here.

    What do you think?

I love listening to Arguello speak. Seemed like such a chill and down to Earth guy...

Was a real shame when he passed away. Perfect ambassador for the sport.

Arguello. He’s one of the few men who were superior combination punchers to Gonzalez, in fact he’s one of the ATG punchers IMO.

Both men had some defensive nous, if not known for it.

Arguello had the better jab. Gonzalez had a really good jab, but Arguello’s was better.

Roman obviously more mobile, but like Joe Louis, Arguello’s sluggish feet were a product of his ability to always be in a position to punch.

I love Chocolatito, but there’s no debate to be had from me. I wouldn’t even hear a counter argument.

Flea summed it up perfectly. Arguello for me.

I think it can be summed as simply as this... Gonzalez is one of the best offensive fighters of this decade. Arguello is one of the best offensive fighters of all time.
