2 guys known for being a slow starter and having a low punch output but they are very precise and dangerous counter punchers when finally getting into their groove.

Canelo although I do think Tank's skills are underrated somewhat.

I disagree. He relies on his power too much. Has lost far too many rounds to be considered a top talent.

I mean Canelo has lost plenty of rounds himself, @ 154 he was a low volume guy. Seemed to get stronger and more stamina as he went up.

I think it’s more that he has faith in his power and knows that he will eventually get to use it, ok he didn’t knock pit bull out but that guy has a generational quality chin.
In any sport you use your strengths, he has power that is freakish for his weight and he uses it to his advantage and rightfully so.
The kid can box and he has more than just power.

Because of resume I’ll go with Canelo. I know he had catchweights as well but Ryan did look a lot different than vs Haney

Canelo. He's the more complete fighter.

Clenelo has obviously proven his skills against a much higher level of opposition and at more weight classes too. Twink is really a two division fighter and only ventured up to 140 once to grab the WBA regular strap off a paper champion before dropping back down to 130/135. Clenelo became undisputed in his 4th weight class and did a Twink at 175 against Kovalev albeit Kovalev was actually a legit champ at the time albeit a well past prime version. Both have elite skills though.

But he's lost rounds against highly skilled boxers/decorated amateurs which Santa Cruz, Pitbull, Garcia and Martin all are/were and still come through them all.

He's hardly the lightweight version of Wilder where he needs KO's to win whilst fighting mostly average guys. You don't take 8 undefeated guys 0's if you're not skilled in more ways than 1.
