SRL out-defended Benitez, who did have a legendary defense. He walked down and broke down a tough, slick Ayub Kalule, broke down a stylish southpaw in Larry Bonds, and adjusted multiple times against Hearns. Duran caught him by surprise in the first fight and stormed out to an early, unassailable lead. But even by the end of the fight in Montreal, Leonard had adjusted and won the last two or three rounds clean to make it close on the cards.

If you're gonna diss the guy, make certain you watch a few of his fights before you do. You already come across as being semi-literate, man...But knowing your subject matter will at least insure that you don't come across as being semi-******ed as well.

When has Benitez EVER been mentioned in the realm of Floyd and Pernell? The reason he lost to little Duran is because he tried to stand toe to toe, but does not have the skills to do that. He ran in the rematch because thats his only defense. Running, his range, and footspeed. I never looked at his fight with Herns as him making Adjustments. This is what I saw. SRL running around the ring with that scared face. then all of a sudden he sees he can hurt him, so he starts chasing him with a mean face like he's Billy Badazz. That fight made him look silly to me. I didnt look at him as making adjustments. I looked at it like he got nuts when he saw he could hurt the guy. SRL Just didnt have the skills the fighters of more current eras had. Present day fighters will always be more advanced than the older era fighters, because they take from them, and learn from their mistakes. I think Ward is better than SRL. Ward is a guy who changed his whole style everytime he gets in the ring. Bradley is better than SRL. Another fighter who could make adjustments, and very versitile. SRL is a GOAT, and has a better legacy than Pernell and Floyd. But skillwise, he's not even close to them, or the other up and coming fighters.

You know for a FACT that a skilled defensive fighter will always be better than a fighter like SRL, who only relied on speed aadvantage to overwhelm opponents. Footspeed and range to avoid punches. You just HATE to accept something like that because fightfans have a habit of giving past legends more credit than they deserve.

I don't need to start over. Starting over isn't necessary. Other posters and I have addressed your points, but you have refused to acknowledge that. You haven't addressed our rebuttals to your points. Instead, you talk about how nobody can hang with your airtight points.

What is there to talk about if you can't even acknowledge the other side of the debate? We have all acknowledged and addressed you. And not just insults. And don't cry about being insulted, implying that its some kind of chump move when you've insulted me...
