Yeah, it's better not to stand, toe to toe, with punchers. It's what you call a sensible judgement and choice. You think Floyd would stand his ground and constantly trade with the likes of Hearns? Nah, he wouldn't.

I agree, its called boxing. But the point Im making is that a defensive wizard like Pernell and Floyd is WAAAY more skilled than a guy like SRL who solely relied on his speed advantage to overwhelm opponents. Relied on his footspeed, and range to help him avoid punches. A fighter like Floyd and Pernell can stand right in front of you, and you cant hit anything. Thats my point. Dont let this gay troll bait you into ganging up on me, this guy is looking for a fight, but cant even respond. Just insults you, then try to flip it around to where Im the troll.

Floyd stood toe to toe with Punchers before. He walked Mosley and Ortiz down.

Of course he would! He would walk him down! He would streamroll Hearns and "little Duran".... He wouldn't need to take a step back on the count of all that extra skill he had...

The last time he took a forward step in a fight was the 4th round against Ortiz, and before that, it was probably against Corrales at 130, but yeah he would walk down 2 of the best welters ever...

Isn't that what you're supposed to do, use your strengths to beat your opponents? How is Floyd any different since he uses his defense, which happens to be his forte?

Anyway, it's hard to take a guy seriously when he comes in and brags about him and his boy being 43-0.

Quit trying to turn it into another argument. Floyd is better skillwise than SRL thats why he doesnt have to run. Your trying to make technicalities, "Aww Floyd is using his advantages like SRL used his advantages" Floyd has more advantages because a defensive wizard like Floyd and Pernell are better than SRL. And you BETNOT say Floyd SR. LOL

Still not replying? Okay, then go ahead and find little ways to indirectly insult me. Of course Murkaman never said Floyd would steam roll Herns. But I know, its your only way to deal with me. 43-0 Bro!:)

You need to make up your mind already. Are you here to tell us about how great Floyd really is because you think so or to argue about it? You're way offtopic by the way, since this thread was about Whitaker or Leonard, not about how amazing your boy is.

Listen to what you said. "Isnt SRL Supposed to use his speed advantage and range?" YES ya fking dummy, but it has nothing to do with the fact that a defensive fighter like Floyd and Pernell is much better than SRL, who had to run to avoid punches. Pernell and Floyd dont have to run. They have more skills than SRL.

    1. Floyd completed the Tour de France in the rematch against Castillo after getting his ass railed in the first fight.

    2. Floyd would not even have the gonads to step into the ring with some of the fighters SRL fought to have the dignity to say he ran from them.

    3. The lounge is thataway :good

As for the answer to the thread topic, Whitaker is the more skilled. Leonard's advantages (speed, power, size) aren't skills.

He so good that he had to run from Little Duran at ww? Tried to stand toe to toe, and got his azz whooped for 15 rounds. Never made the adjustments in the fight. The rematch came, and he was running. He ran from Herns, with that scared facial expression, then once he seen he could hurt Herns, all of a sudden he has a mean face while chasing him like he's billy badazz or something. Whether Floyd can hurt you or not, he's coming forward. If that doesnt work, he will find away to win. Which Ray did not do in the first fight with Duran, in which he got his azz tore up by that little man at WELTERWEIGHT!(Should have won but he lost)

Didnt he run in the first fight? He ran cuz that was his fighting style back then. To be a mover. He walked down guys much stronger, and more dangerous than Castillio.

Yeah but he stood his ground with the ghost of Sugar Shane Mosley and a re-tread Cotto. Who you trying to fool?
