I dont want to go into the whole who has had the better career or better resume as I think both have valid arguments.

However i am looking at who has more simply natural talent, Hatton had the quicker reflexs but Froch probably the better athlete.

    Thoughts?

Hatton by a fraction when it comes to natural talent, when it comes to mentality froch by a long margin

Has Carl ever faced anyone near the level of Mayweather and Pacquioa? I dont think he has , also Carl would need to go up and fight the number one in the division above to compare Hatton vs Mayweather. That would mean a Kovalev fight. How would that go?

This is not knocking Carl, but I just think your argument is a little floored.

I agree , but Mayweather and Pacquiao could be top 100 of all time fighters.

Ward on the other hand is a very talented fighter but simply isnt that level.

Hatton has more natural talent, but my word Froch has made the very best of his talent by sheer will.

Hatton had far better boxing skills, Froch had a far better chin. Hatton closed the distance skilfully, threw untelegraphed hybrid shots (uppercut-jab etc), brilliant side-stepper to create angles, picture-perfect body hooks, beautiful in-and-out rythm at his best with high output of scoring shots (Phillips, Tackie, Oliveira, Urango, Malignaggi, Pacquaio).

Froch is extremely slow in all areas, throws a lazy jab from the low-slung position of his left, struggles to release a right hand with any kind of swift, natural smoothness, and throws uppercuts from out of range that never land! He is great however at taking punches and giving right back toe-to-toe; having the last word in exchanges, and, has a long effective jab when not feeling lazy.

    But Hatton, the better talent.

The reason Tszyu never knocked Hatton out was a matter of skill and talent on Hatton's part - he closed the distance so fast and so perpetually that Tszyu was unable to get the full extension on his punches, which is where all of Tszyu's power came from; that full extension of the elbow on the end of the punch range. Hatton disallowed that with as much skill and talent as heart and determination, if you know your boxing.
