March 30, 2012 | More than $ 1.7 million were raised at the Klitschko Brothers Foundation Gala in Kiev

More than $ 1.7 million were raised at the Klitschko Brothers Charity Gala Dinner. An unknown buyer paid $1 million for the Olympic Gold medal of Wladimir Klitschko (Atlanta 1996).

Paying a record amount for this unique lot, the beneficator returned it to the champion as a sign of respect and honor.Right after the sale of the medal a representative of the buyer announced the will of a benefactor: The medal should remain in the Klitschko family. Wladimir was touched by this generous gesture.

"This award has brought success both to me and my brother, and I can say it became a basis of our future success in professional sport and life, the key which opened many doors for us. Our dream has become reality. And thanks to the money paid by unknown benefactor for this medal, we now can realize the dreams of hundreds of thousands children. On behalf of them, their parents and teachers I would like to thank you for your concern", – said Wladimir.

During the Charity Gala Dinner Klitschko brothers have raised more than 1 million 700 thousands US dollars – through sponsorships, donations, and funds for lots.

All money raised during the Charity Gala Dinner, will be used to implement Klitschko-Brothers-Foundations projects, such as the reconstruction of children's sports schools and facilities all over Ukraine and organizing a summer educational camp for orphans.

Even when mayweather gives out turkeys after beating up his g/f, people are like "What a perfect human being!"
