More undeserved ring moniker: Fedor "Knockout Man" Papazov (52%) or Thammanoon "KO" Niyomtrong (33)?

Mind you, this should be graded on a curve with due adjustments made for contextual matters like opponent quality and division metrics. There aren't so many stoppages at 105lbs as 135 and 140. Niyomtrong has also shown flashes of real world class power, as when he dropped the double tough Pinoy journeyman Rey Loreto (stopped only twice in his 40-bout career - and just once in the last decade - both times by huge punchers).

Regardless, neither should be calling themselves what they do. Papazov, if he loses tomorrow against Belarusian prospect and former amateur star Yauheni Dauhaliavets, or even goes the distance (whether victory or draw) will hit the halfway mark, having netted stoppages in barely a majority of his fights to date. Likewise if he loses or doesn't halt Siridech Deebook in May in his next WBA title defense, the straw from Siam risks dropping under a third.

They called MAB an assassin and he only knocked out 58% of people. But nobody wanted to hear from me on that. The media wants to hype up Mexican fighters and that's fine with everybody but when Thymerosol Nottamegatron wants some love, all a sudden everybody pickin nits.

Barrera was un asesino, early in his career. Hopkins was an Executioner in his as well. Toney fit "Lights Out" just fine.

The word "Knockout" has never been apt for Niyomtrong or Papazov to use.

Kevin "The KO Kid" Lerena despite a 48% KO ratio. To be fair he's not a bad puncher, just not the kind of puncher you'd expect a cruiserweight with that nickname to be.
