That's awesome! Santa Cruz seems to be the real deal so far. Let him fight the big fights and see what happens. I like a fighter who fights top opposition.
Santa Cruz (offensively) is better than Mares...I don't know if he's got the grit and toughness that Mares has, but in terms of raw offensive ability, Santa Cruz and Mares aren't much alike in my opinion. Santa Cruz is a butcher in there, and I think he's far more effective offensively than Mares. JMO
:good Moreno would naturally make him miss plenty of head shots, but those wouldn't be LSC's main focus at all. Not that Mares neglects the body, but Santa Cruz goes there at many times over his clip. No way Moreno avoids them all, and over time they'll take effect, and he'll slow down...and then...
santa cruz does not resemble mares. santa cruz plods forward throwing punches and bunches and can be outboxed. mares is more athletic and more dynamic, and much faster. moreno outboxees santa cruz. santa cruz was even outboxed for stretches in his very last bout.
Damn good scrap...This is going to be a very interesting matchup. Moreno may be a solid boxer from the outside and he rather hard to hit but given Cruz relentless pressure...I think its going to cause Moreno to get frustrated and outworked again...I was very high on Moreno but he does seem to not like fighting up close and having his opponent to be in close...Mares exposed that and I expect Cruz to follow suit. I'm liking Cruz in this one given their styles.:good
good fight for both. I want to pick Moreno, but idk. I doubt Cruz is as strong as Mares, but if he is, then Moreno could be in trouble
Santa Cruz is relentless I think Moreno's movement gives him the advantage Santa Cruz' youth will be a factor if the fight progresses to the later rounds But Moreno's savy enough to stay out of harms way
The resemblance is about both coming forward , so far Mares is in another league. As you said SC didn't look spectacular in his last fight and Moreno is a master technician .
