Richie Giachetti was victim of a serious heart attack in France (La Bourboule). The experienced coach of Jean-Marc Mormeck was preparing the french guy for his fight against David Haye (november 10th). Mormeck will try to finish the preparation with the help of his cutman. For the guys who wouldn't know Giachetti he was the coach of Larry Holmes. He worked with Mormeck several times, he didn't prepare Mormeck for Bell 1 but he was with him for Bell 2 with a perfect match plan.
Frankly, I'm not surprised. He's looked like a heart attack waiting to happen since he first came on the scene in the 80s. Hope he makes a good recovery. He'd be well advised to loose some weight, pronto.
I hope Richie makes it, last time i saw him on the Tube he looked obese, he has to start taking better care of himself...
