I didn't say tendon was torn...I said it was injured. You have a reading comp problem. Also, it was Iggy's former trainer that I watched it with. He scored the fight 7-5 but said it was no robbery...felt it was close enough to go either way. Important thing is that the trainer noticed symptoms of a recurring injury he had seen before. Your attitude is that anyone who doesn't agree with you -- or who has information that rips up your arguments -- must be biased. In your mind, only objective, reasonable people echo your thoughts. Everyone else is a fool. Meanwhile, the Internet has been full of reports that Iggy won. Are all of those writers biased too?
It was certainly messy, with most of the punches thrown while each guy was mauling or grabbing the other. Both fighters discredited their worthiness for a title shot through their performance. My point here, though, is that in fights like this, it is extremely hard to follow who is actually landing punches, as opposed to missing or hitting shoulders and arms. The Maddalone fight was similar. I'd like to study that one in slow motion, too.
Wow you guys but way to much thought and effort into this fight. Mormeck won a close fight End thread
It's not online. You'd have to buy it from someone. When you eventually see it, I advise you to use slow motion as much as possible...you'll realize that many punches (which seem to land) actually fall short or get picked off.
Close boring fight that I scored for Ibragimov. As opposed to Oquendo, who he clearly lost to. There's a reason Wlad is a 50-1 favorite.
There you go, guys! Brick scored it for Iggy, too. Just like me and every other boxing industry professional I know (I'm not exaggerating). The important thing, though, is that all of us who scored for Iggy agree it was close enough to go either way.
Mormeck took a one sided whipping from Fres. Mormeck was never hurt, but the vast majority of his shots got picked off on Fres's gloves, arms, shoulders, etc. By contrast, Fres fought a relaxed and agile fight, smacking Mormeck repeatedly and cleanly with lots of punches in every round. I know the people in Fres's camp, too. When Fres got the Paris, he was without representation because family emergencies very suddenly removed two key figures (his manager and his brother) from the scene. Mormeck's people allegedly took advantage of this to appoint their own officials, contrary to what the original terms of the fight were. Generally, I'm pro fighter, and I"m glad that Mormeck is getting to cash out with a big money fight against the champ. Every fighter deserves a reward like that. But it pisses me off that Mormeck's people and French TV power figures ripped off Oquendo, and to lesser degree, even ripped off Iggy to make the Klit-JMM money fight happen. Now I'm seeing lots of reports that Maddalone got cheated too. I have to give that fight a close study. Big boxing business should not treat boxers like whores.
