When people talk about the hardest single shots ever landed by heavyweights, in terms of just sheer force and impact, these two pretty much always get mentioned. I think Razor was completely out at contact but woke back up on the bounce after hitting the deck Rahman wasn’t completely out but he sure as hell didn’t know what year it was for a few minutes afterwards. I personally think there have been punches landed that were a little harder than these two but these two are the most mainstream and mentioned ones. A professional heavyweight that used to post on here and actually sparred Lewis said the Morrison left hook on Ruddock was the hardest single shot he ever saw in person I know there have been better/cleaner KO’s and more historic! But I’m just talking about sheer power, force and impact here. Hard to beat these two.
I think Lewis, he launched his whole body into that flush right overhand (the most powerful punch in boxing). Morrison’s was more a pivot and unseen left hook. So for pure force I gotta go with Lewis.
Lewis’s KO of Rahman is the most satisfying knockout ever. It’s better than Morrisons also. Morrison caught his opponent in an exchange, Lewis set his shot up perfectly with his left. More skill involved with Lewis
