Great fight, one of my all time favourites.

In terms of where it ranks, probably in the top 5 for the 90's because but both guys were a bit past it. In terms of entertainment, it might be the best fight of the 90's

In terms of quality, Holyfield-Bowe 1, Ibeaubuchi-Tua would both be better fights because all of those guys were at their peak.

    My rankings:

    1. Holyfield- Bowe 1
    2. Tyson-Ruddock 2
    3. Ibeaubuchi-Tua
    4. Morrison-Ruddock
    5. lots of candidates, need to think about it

Great fight. I don't know why I don't see this fight on more people's top favorites list. It's right up there with foreman Lyle and holyfield bowe as far as brawling entertainment goes.

Still feel Ruddock had a chance if the Ref didn't step in. Ruddock always had poor balance and his head always snapped around like a bobble head doll. I think he may have made things interesting had he survived until the next round and same could be said for his first bout with Tyson. He had his best moment at the end of the 6th and Tyson started to fade ever so slightly.

Ruddock was starting to control the fight methodically behind of all things his jab. He just had no patience. A couple more rounds of the jab and applying pressure Tommy would have collapsed.

It was a good fight for sure, one of the better HW bouts in the 90's. It was a strong decade, but off the top of my head, I'd probably rank it as one of the top 10-top 12 HW fights of the decade with the likes of the Bowe-Holyfield series, Lewis-Holyfield I & II, the Golota-Bowe pair of brawls, Tyson-Ruddock, Maskaev-Rahman, Ibeabuchi-Tua etc.

It's likely top ten for the two-way action, knockdowns and Tommy's left hook tko.
