on the 18 september at york hall bethnal green, for the vacant british light welterweight title, the board has sanctioned this bout just today, sky sports jumped the gun and advertised it last night i'm led to believe, but the bout was signed sealed delivered today.

barry has been training hard for a while now and his diet is treating him well, he has a check weigh in on tuesday and has to be 10' 4 for this, which he will make no probs, and he's over the moon he's coming to london to bring the title home once again.

a canna wait pet .......... a just canna wait :bbb

I'm hoping Lenny gets revenge and regains the British Title...trained with him when he was at Rosehill and real nice guy and i looked up to him and his bro while i was a lad. I remember when he lost the first fight...i think this will be just as good a fight.

Their first fight was a mini classic, lots of action, lots of controversy, a rematch would be fun, thats for sure.
Morrison pulled of a fantastic upset first time around, I still remember posting my congrats to Barry here when I heard the result! Man its frightening how time flies when you are a boxing fan...

it will be a kracker dunky, baz is burstin out his skin, he's determined to put on a show due to the pull outs recently with injury and dietry problems, hell mend dawes if he has an off night, and fingers crossed dawes training for a southpaw will scuper his chances. :bbb

Maka, how is Barry doing, he has had such a run with illness and injury I just wonder if he is well enough for this fight.

Actually fancy him to win this on points if he is fully well again but don't want to part with my money if he is merely making up the numbers.

When you are going through a spell that one thing after another seems to dog you, it can be very hard to ever get back to your best.

With your insider knowledge how is he looking

    Cheers
    Micky:bbb

I did not even think these two were still active.

Good luck to both, it should be a very good battle.

    howdo micky,

barry is doin really well with his new diet, looks fresh, feels fresh, and has a glow about him that he normally has when he's in tip top shape, he had a check weigh in yesterday, his weight was 10' 5 which he made no probs, and has another one scheduled for monday coming, he has to be around 10' 4 for that one, just last night he had 12 rounds of sparring with 3 different boxers at the gym, feels a little sore this mornin (as you'd expect) but feels fit and well, he's moved in to the spare room at his mums for some quiet time away from his little boy, so he can get the rest he needs between gruelling sessions.

he'll be ready and up for this one, he ca'nt afford not to be :bbb

yup, they sure are, although both careers have been a little quiet, a big big fight for both men, just hope the judges are fit enough for the job.

although i am confident of an 8 round retirement by dawes :smoke
