Damn, I'd pick Galento ... but a picture of a roided up Morrison on the floor and a fat Galento raising his arm would clearly look like science fiction.
untill he gets hit and goes to sleep..besides even if morrison does smash him it will only last for 5 pounds until his body builder muscle gasses out..**** could end up looking like mercer morrison
The guy isn't just going to get hit once and crumble. George Foreman, Razor Ruddock, Carl Williams, and Joe Hipp all hit him with big shots and he still won those fights. Mercer and Bentt both beat him with a barage of huge shots, and not just one or two punches - not to mention, those guy's power was tested against true modern day heavys and not sub 200 lb men. I think Morrison had better boxing skill, superior conditioning, and even greater power albeit marginally.
Tony was tough and better conditioned than his body suggested ....Tommy gets tagged early and again with Tony s awkward hook and I see a KO for TG....Tommy can box for a bit but Tony gets to that chin
Two greatley underrated fighters IMO, although neither are great. Morrison's skill, speed, awesome combos, crazy power and heart (yah really) get overlooked because he was a bit chinny but he usually had to take a fair bit before he got stopped. Galento when in shape had enough in the tank to KO his man in the later rounds (Nova in the 13th, Ettore in the 8th etc), very tough cookie, granite chin, another good left hook and dirty tactics that really brake a man down physically and mentally. If Morrison plays it smart like he did against Foreman he would win, if he tried to fight Galento on his terms he'll find himself on the canvas.
