Two bangers who made for some exciting bouts. Both have
devastating knockout power, and both can be taken out
early. Hook from hell in Morrison vs a sickening overhand
right in Witherspoon. Both at their best 12 rounds.
Ive seen more of Tommy who had some great head movement
    and boxing skills.

It wouldnt be easy for Tommy but I believe he could break Witherspoon down over a period of time. By the 8th or 9th rounds Wither would already have taken some real abuse.

Tommy would just out box him and win by late KO somewhere between the 8th and 10th.

I think Witherspoon wrecks him with the first over hand right he lands and he's land it early .. Tommy's weakness was that chin ..

I'll go with Morrison by mid round KO, prime 92 Morrison was physically a beast, athletic, and would have caught Tim with the left hook from hell!! ..

I agree.i don't think it would be close.witherspoon was a much underestimated fighter while Morrison had a big punch and not much else

Prime Witherspoon wins with ease. Morrison has a significant edge in power and conditioning, but that is about it. Witherspoon would break down Morrison and stop him late.

I think Morrison is very over rated by many … the guy had a very suspect chin .. a cagey guy like Witherspoon with a huge right hand .. forget it ..

Yeah, amazed that some picked Tommy to win which of course he could with his punch power but to me he's 10-1 underdog.

Witherspoon by KO. This one could end up like Morrison - Mercer.

It could be like Morrison - Bent ... Tommy's hope is if he fights smart like he did vs Foreman and outworks Witherspoon ... it's possible but I'd be betting on Tim ..

Agreed. Tommy had the potential to pull off some big upsets but not this one. Bad match-up for him.

It's more than Tommy just having a bad chin, though. Not to get too deep, but he carried a lot of personal baggage into the ring that led to self doubt and bad performances. On top of that, he was the heavyweight "white hope" in an era of few. That led to understandable resentment among his less promoted peers and much added pressure on him. A bit too much to ask for from a guy who was already emotionally and mentally scarred. Oh, then there is the fact he is half Native AmericanÂ… which must have been like living a lie while being marketed as a John Wayne White Hope. I never heard him mention it but I always did wonder his thoughts.

I'm astonished that some people pick Morrison over Witherspoon. I can't see how anyone could logically come to that conclusion. I would put BIG money on Tim in a match against Tommy.

Morrison seems very over-rated these days, I suspect he's mainly over-rated by younger fans who weren't "there at the time" when his career was ongoing & it was clear that he had a major flaw. Tommy's probably because over-rated because he looked the part physically , had the big left hook and the win over Ruddock which looks good on paper but was in reality against the shell of the fighter who gave Tyson tough fights.

Exciting while it lasts. I think Tim climbs off the deck to drive Morrison into the canvas like a nail. Compliments of the overhand right. Terrible Tim had a good one.

PS Morrison has little chance of out boxing Witherspoon.
