Mosley wins! Isnt that kinda like pissing in your own drinking water? I dont know if we can trust that fight. If mosley wins, mosley vs pac isnt gonna generate half of what may vs pac would. If mayweather wins, pac vs may is even that much bigger. I dont trust Golden Boy for a second.

    THOUGHTS.......

What exactly are you trying to say? What is distrustful about Mayweather vs. Mosley?

The Pac v Floyd fight is destined not to happen,so one or both will lose thier next fight. Its like Lewis v Bowe.Floyd has the far harder night,i cant see Clottey causing Pac too much trouble but that said Ollie Mccall was supposed to be a decent but safe fight for Lennox.

Mayweather was having Golden boy co promote for the pac fight. Mosley is golden boy and if he wins, Golden boy would lose out on may vs pac.

lol I'm clueless, by that logic Pac-Clottey is "peeing in your drinking water" and "shouldn't be trusted" because TR promotes both....that does follow your logical order doesn't it t/s??

Ya, Bob Arum is pissing in his own drinking water, apparently. That seems to be what this thread is out to expose.

I think what he's trying to say is that Mosely-FMJ isn't going to happen, because either winner would fight Pac, and in both cases Mosely-Pac or FMJ-Pac will not generate anymore money, specifically, Mosely-Pac will generate less money than FMJ-Pac, and FMJ-Pac (after FMJ beats Mosely) won't generate anymore money than FMJ fighting Pac first. He's saying that Mosely-FMJ fight is ludicrous because it doesn't do anything for the sport of boxing in terms of making money.

I kind of disagree. If Mosely beats FMJ, and then Mosely fights Pac, I think it would be a great fight that would still generate a lot of money, but I wouldn't go far as to say less than half of a FMJ-Pac fight. And in the second scenario, if FMJ were to beat Mosely, then a FMJ-Pac fight later on would still generate the same amount of money or more, but more importantly at least the Mosely-FMJ fight made a lot of money today.

I know:?...the exact samething can be said about Arum and Clottey\Pacman! IMO, It really doesnt makes sense since they're both doing the samething!

If that's what he's saying, then it's just not true. Floyd sitting on the shelf makes less money than him fighting and possibly losing. Golden Boy makes money from having their fighters fight, not wait for years. Oscar lost many fights and still was a money draw every time out.

Now that I've thought about it more, FMJ-Pac today is probably overall better than Mosely-FMJ today, because FMJ is undefeated, and Pac is the pfp#1. If FMJ fights Mosely first and beats him, then FMJ-Pac is just the same or better later in the year. On the other hand, if Mosely beats FMJ, then a Mosely-Pac fight makes less money compared to a FMJ-Pac fight.

First off, there's two fights (Mosely-FMJ and then FMJ-Pac, or Mosely-FMJ and then Mosely-Pac), versus 1 fight (FMJ-Pac), and overall you'll make more money with two fights compared to one especially if FMJ beats Mosely, and goes on to fight Pac.

Now, if you're worried about Mosely beating FMJ, and that a Mosely-Pac isn't going to generate a lot of money (eventhough there's 2 fights here compared to 1), I can understand that point.

So I think the thread-maker is saying that a Mosely-FMJ fight is ludicrous, especially if the second scenario happens. The thread-maker is also probably saying that why have them fight in this order? Have FMJ-Pac first, and then the winner (or loser) fight Mosely. Overall, that's a better line of fights than starting with Mosely-FMJ. This is why the thread-maker thinks that GBP is pulling our leg.

I hope I haven't thought too much into it. :)
