who else thinks "simple" shane mosely and "ugly boy" floyd will be a boring fight. i can see floyd just potshotting his way to victory in a 12 round snoozefest and win by ud. i never thought shane was very good with his footwork. but he has always been great with a brawler. dont get me wrong, i cant wait to see this fight as floyd might get caught here and there but im bracing for a letdown of a fight, but if its exciting then that a bonus. on a side note. i think floyd is turning into a roy jones jr as far as potshotting his way to victory against his opponents. the difference is hes a textbook master of defense. i just really want to know how hell react when he does get hit a few times by a hard hitting shane. no bias here. just a thought
If someone if docile enough to let Lil Floyd potshot them all night and win on points then they deserve to take the Loss.
It may end up being a boring fight when you have a safety first boxer like fraud theres always that risk, but for once he will be fighting someone that has a chance to beat him. This of course if the fight happens.
It will be interesting to see if Mosley can do what he could not do against Cotto. I see elements that say it can be boring. Cotto jabbed and was elusive. I see elements that say it might be exciting. Cotto is a bit more aggressive so maybe Mosley will get more chances to really get in work if Mayweather's punch numbers are low. This is the fight to make so it is what it is. Mosley is the guy who deserves the fight. Hope it goes down WITH blood testing.
It could well be a bore, but Mosley has got better to watch with age.His confidence is up and i expect him to try nd land some big shots.A few years ago id have said a 12 round bore but Shane really has nothing to lose and he is still a threat to anyone,i think Mosley will make this a good fight.
You know I ask myself the same thing. Why don't guys just throw everything at him but the kitchen sink? If you are gassed, he seems too defensive to try to destroy you. What do you have to lose? A loss is "acceptable". I hope Mosley does what you say.
if you dont like floyd when hes in the ring then you dont like "boxing" you may like "fighting" but you dont like "boxing"
Oh so true. The strange thing is that it looks "easy" to be a defensive fighter and "tough" to be a warrior. In truth it is the exact opposite.
It could look like the last 4 rounds Cotto/Mosley but for the entire fight. My hope is that Mayweather does his shoulder against the ropes instead of running and Mosley will tear those ribs apart then.
Might not be the most exciting fight of the year for casual fans, but what boxing fan would not find this fight exciting?
