I would love to see him somehow stop SSM and then take on Canelo next year. The build up and press conferences for that would be priceless.

Mayorga was a tough sob, but with his drinking, smoking, and out of shape body I think Mosley will KO him earlier this time around. It will be an entertaining fight. Let's just hope Mayorga comes is shape and makes it interesting.

Mosley was losing the 1st fight imo. Mayorga got stupidly careless in round 12, and Cortez didn't even send Mosley to a neutral corner, he allowed MOsley to be within a few feet of the stunned Mayorga and managed to get to him with 1 second of the 12th round. Mosley won, with a bit help from the ref.

and yes Spinks with down I think 6 times in the fight, AT LEAST 3 were legitimate knockdowns. Not to mention the bull **** point deductions from Mayorga and he STILL should have won.

It would have been extremely interesting on what would have happened if Mayorga has been given the Spinks win which he rightfully earned. He would have stayed at 147lbs, kept in shape, and had some really interesting fights with an up and coming Cotto, Vivian Harris, Hatton etc Also he probably would have fought Judah, would have been a hell of a fight but see Zab ending like the first Mayorga - Forrest fight with Zabs weak chin unable to handle Mayorgas power. Would have been some awesome fights.

Mayorga was a good boxer in his prime and hit like a mule, if he would have stayed at that weight and in shape who knows what could have happened

After the robbery he went for money fights and moved up 2 divisions north to be decimated by Tito Trinidad at Middleweight.

I speculate DK had much to do with that decision. I felt the fix was in before the fight started after how much they were selling us the Spink family legacy prior to the fight, as if it was destiny for Cory Spinks to become champion. atsch

 

They both are absolute garbage at this point in time.

Nothing would surprise me but I see the most likely results as Mayorga winning via late stoppage or Mosley via deserving UD.
