There was a thread that asked what would be a winning strategy for Mosely against Mayweather. I found that very interesting since no one has done it yet. BUT if i was training Mosely I would look at what i would want to do (+) and what we dont do well(-). Because in my OPINION this is not one of those fights to were you Mosely can stick to what he does well and when. There is no way on earth that Mosely is going to be able to use that Pawin jab and land big right hands all night or at all.... NOPE... Not on Floyd. So here is a list of my want to do's and dont do well. First of all Shane needs to have 1/3 of the fight plan Floyd had for Zab. + Hold Gloves High and catch punches. Walk him down down for Four speratic rounds of the fight. Mix up his punches to the head and body and on arms and shoulders. Dont just punch to hit Floyd. Punch to make him react then get him in the line of fire. - The problem with this is Shane doesnt have those kind of defensive skills. Every time he fights a movin target he is so eager to get in punchin range he uses his face to catch punches. On top of that he becomes very predictable with pawing jab, jab, then right hand. Then on top of that he is fast of hand and feet but he is not a fluid puncher +Run Floyd down for another four rounds of the fight. And stay in his chest and give floyd the idea that he can trade with him and give him no room, make floyd more defensive. - The problem with this is its walking a fighter down times 10. It takes a GAAAANNNG of energy Ricky Hatton Pulled it off and had alot of success in spurts. + Box him form the out side and Fight when you want to fight. He is going to have to do this sometime for energy reasons and For a different look. He is going to have to come up with different looks and diferent rythems to throw Floyd off like zab did. If it was for only 5 rounds. -The problem with this is Floyd hands down has way more skill in this area. Gives you different looks and rythms better punch placements faints etc... To make it clear he is going to have to mix it up. There is no way your gonna fight one way and beat Floyd. Theres alot more to be explained but im tired of typing....... lol. Oh yeah and to the Idiot who said Shane is no where near the athlete that Pac is.....????? Your right Shane is just bigger stronger and faster than him and has a way better knock out percentage at lightweight..... Idiot. lol
Shane's bigger and stronger than Pacquiao, but faster? And for the record, you're talking out of your ass when you say Shane has a better knockout percentage at lightweight, you know why? Pacquiao has fought 1 fight at lightweight, and guess what...he knocked Diaz out. That's 1 out of...1? How can you be better than 100% :rofl
You know what the hell i meant.... When they were both fighting at weights of 135 and lower..... That dont matter. He got a better knock out percentage period and has faced tougher opponets... **** hes faced tougher opponets than everybody...
I feel you on that. But i think if he did that the whole fight he would fall into Floyds hands. I think it would be tough but thats what Floyd does gets your timing and spacing down and shows you a bunch of different angles and Rythems. While your fighting at one hes showing you like 10. Got to switch it up
