FYI - Riddick Bowe beat Tony Tubbs clearly.

 

Just to add to this conversation I scored the fight 2 years ago and I only had Bowe winning by a single point it was far from convincing from Bowe.

Tubbs was slick made Bowe look pedestrian at times making him miss alot of punches.

Bowe just did enough for me based on his aggression.

But it's a very debatable decision where I think that a draw probably would've been a fair result.

So what. Bowe was still young and learning.

 

That he has a fair handle on some boxing history and the fighters therein at a relatively young age is impressive enough.

I might not agree with his choices but he’s just expressing his own opinion just as many boxing afficiandos often to do on this forum - opinions that rarely see consensus across the board.

Fair chance that he might change some of his answers as time goes by with even greater knowledge at hand. Then again, he might not.

If Shavers is #1 in punch power-& I want him to be lol-it is *extraordinary* that anyone @210 lbs. could exceed all the Massive, Tall Long & sometimes trained via modern methods to a Fare-the-well.
