I agree with you on how Kabayel is likely to be kept waiting, but I can't back Itauma to beat either Kabayel or Parker. Not at this stage of his career. No need to rush him either. As you say his best win is Dempsey McKean. The lad needs rounds, but also to step up the level of competition.

Saying that, was he injured? He's only fought once this year. It's not frequent enough

Still the same...we don't know. Whyte was shot and the fight answered nothing about Ituama's chin and stamina.

Realistically these kind of matchups are only 1 or 2 fights away for Itauma.

Itauma KO's them both. Right now, in a year and in 5 years. Yes he might be untested but I he's a special talent. Experience isn't the be all end all.

I'm sure I'm not the only one to feel this way, but I'm starting to get sick of the Itaums hype. So I'm happy to see him in with any of the top 5 to see if he is the real deal or not.

Like some said earlier, sink or swim I just want an answer on whether the hype is warranted or not.

If he fought either next month he:

    He gets stopped by Kabayel
    He gets decisioned by Parker

Give him 6-7 more fights, against top 20 guys.................get him properly vetted and I think he would have potential to beat them both. He's not ready. These rushing conversations are silly, everybody ain't Usyk, everybody ain't Loma, everybody ain't Bivol or Beterbiev. Some guys need to be tempered in the flames a little bit first.

True. And the likes of Usyk, Loma, Beterbiev etc. had 250 plus amateur fights so they were ready for that level.

I think it is a tough situation after that performance. I would love to see him fight Zhang next although it wouldn't say much if the fight looks the same.
A real problem is Joshua is going to be the perfect opponent real quick but both myself and Itauma have the same chance at zero of getting in the ring with AJ.
I am just not sure how you even get him rounds without pushing him into the deep end. Losing against a top guy here might be better for his development than obliterating #15 in the world a bunch of times.
1-2 Zhang level guys and then AJ would be my ideal. Without AJ I am really not sure other than the deep end.

Itauma knocks out Parker and Kabayel in same night, in 2 rounds.

Teddy Atlas says Itauma stops Usyk too.

As much as I love Kabayel, I don't think his style will work good against Itauma. Everytime he tries to close the distance to land his barrage of body shots he would be in great dangers of fast southpaw counters. U saw how he got dropped against Zhang. Itauma is faster and have way better footwork and punch variety than Zhang.
