I'm glad the clearly biased pro-Itauma commentators and judges who gave Hrgovic ZERO rounds after he'd clearly won AT LEAST TWO are now able to eat a little crow....

That said, Itauma's got nothing to be ashamed of. A heroic effort from a promising kid.

 

I like Moses but I like Hrgovic too. Pleased for him.

 

History was still made tonight, Hrgovic became the first Croatian Heavyweight world champion.

 

Ive never seen anyone gas like that.

Im not even sure he was that hurt, he literally looked like he just couldn't stand up anymore.

For the last round, he was just winging shots from his waist (and still landing some big shots)

HUGE questions have to be asked about his training and conditioning.

 

Will he? There’s been better fighters then him not come back from an incident like this in their career.

Like respect to Herg for making history but there is no question he Homer Simpson’ed his way to victory

 

He clearly knew he didn't have 4 rounds left in him and threw the kitchen sink at him hoping to stop him.
Itauma may not be a 12 round fighter, could be a David Price type. Spectacular over a few rounds but you just have to leave him blow his load then spark him out

Great fight though, this is when boxing is great. Less of the fencing specialists like Stevenson.

 

i suppose so still insane how he went from dominating 8th to no legs like that lmao. oh well hes 21. i still support him as my favorite hw and he will pick up a title eventually.

 

Was it a step up to soon for Moses? The answer is yes!! Easy to say in hindsight, but when you've been taking people out with ease and then jump up to fight a seasoned top 10 fighter who is probably the most durable in the division, this sort of thing is not unthinkable. Moses just didn't know what to do in the later rounds.

 

Disappointed to be honest. Hrgovic sucks. Itauma is talented but gas tank sucks. Worst outcome possible for HW boxing.
