Itauma seriously thought he was going to just bulldoze Hrgovich and he shot his load in the early rounds. He wasn’t prepared for Hrgs toughness, and durability and Thats why he gassed out towards the end. Great performance from Hrgovich.

This kind of thing happens time and again through the division's history. A loss on the way up wasn't viewed as a death knell, and boxing's poorer for the fact that so many treat it like it is now.

Ken Norton got knocked out early against a LHW and went on to beat Ali three years later. Wlad had a bad loss on the way up to a lesser fighter than Hrgovic and ended up just fine. And the list goes on and on. People can write the kid off at their own peril. I'd still bet that he's a future champion, will end up as the #1 guy at some point, and will get some defenses in.

The fight I really want to see is Jared Anderson vs Itauma. Same size. Both want it. Backs against the wall.

I was really impressed with Itauma today and have no doubt he will be a future HW champion.

He's quick, has heart and has a decent chin. My only questionark is his gass tank. Can he go the distance if it turns into a slugfest.

Someone needs to check on Dillian Whyte immediately. I'm afraid this is some sort of Dorian Gray situation where that uppercut did nothing to Hrgovic but just knocked Whyte's head off in his attic

Devin Haney Hype Man is going to get a job working ringside with Itauma encouraging him when he gets gassed.

    " That's right champ all day "

A lot of them boxers were back in a month or two later, it’s likely Moses will be out for 5-8 months. Who knows how quickly he will even be back in the gym. Were their financial situations as good as what Moses is in right now, there’s a lot of things to consider when comparing this loss to other similar ones, I think Wlad is the best comparison, similar ages, similar stoppages both have openly said they aren’t in love with the sport, although Wlad said once he met Manny that changed.

I’m not so sure Itauma will be as dedicated to boxing as Wladimir was. I’m intrigued in who the choice of opponent will be next and if there’s a change of camp before I sway my opinion a certain way.

just checking in to say that was a great fight and props to both guys.

    1) that was a great fight

    1) can we get a rematch

    2) will they both turn up none the worse for wear going forward?

Hopefully he has a ten years or more successful career ahead, he can be a contender and be in some fun fights and make millions at the very least. Extremely talented fighter, way too early for that kind of fight. The whole iron mike linkage and witness history **** really didn't help him or his approach.
