Honestly, Anderson doesn't even want to be boxing and hes literally said this.

Itauma needs to fight someone that isn't as skilled and tough as Hrgovic but still has a decent enough chin to give him rounds. Eg - Vianello, Hughie Fury.

 

I wouldn't say he proved me wrong. I think he proved that he's exactly who I said he was. I've always said Hrgovic is slow, easy to hit, easy to cut, doesn't move his head, only has a basic 1-2 for offense, and doesn't hit all that hard because he throws arm punches instead of using his whole kinetic chain. And we saw that against Moses. He had a simple game plan and let a young dumb kid fall right into his blatantly obvious trap.

I said Moses' defense was suspect. And it was. Slow as molasses Hergy was hitting him fairly easily. I said Moses never showed us he knew how to clinch, fight inside, and how to respond when an opponent didn't just immediately retreat to the ropes and would throw back at him. And he failed in all those areas. I said Moses had never proved he could go deep into a fight and that against a live opponent that would be a real problem. That he'd never proved he could manage a fight and pace himself. Sure enough, he's already tired by round 4-5 and flat out goes to pieces before he even hit the championship rounds.

This fight was all about Moses not living up to what people claimed he was, not Hrgovic being something more than what we thought. Congrats to Hergy, though. Taking all of Frank's money to derail his wonder child and become HW champ. Dude deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame just for the look he put on Frank's face at the end of the fight, lol.

Itauma was just so untested and unproven in many aspects in boxing, and people were banging on that he didn't need to be tested like that. Fools.

 

Kabayel is a really bad match-up for Hrgovic as Kabayel will get inside soon enough and eat his body up.

Hrgovic V Dubois - Hrgovic has a very good chance if Dubois doesn't cut him early.

Kabayel vs Itauma would be a great fight.

This fight reminded me of Ali-Foreman. People were afraid that Foreman was actually going to kill Ali. Preflght psychology wore on Foreman mentally then the rope a dope drained his gas tank. Yet years later Foreman became champ again. There is always redemption available if you can earn it.

People here pounding on Itauma because of the "he's the next Mike Tyson" hype. Bruce Springsteen was supposed to be the next Bob Dylan but he was merely the next Bruce Springsteen. So blame the hype machine not the boxer.

You act as though he was somehow "Exposed" in terms of his Skills, or Defense, or Chin etc.

The reason he lost was inexperience, nothing more, nothing less.

The funny thing is, if Itauma had gone 12 rounds with Franklin (Or 10 if it was a 10 rounder), he would've won that fight last night.
Itauma lost the fight, Hrgovic didn't win it.

When experienced, I don't see who's coming through that can give Itauma trouble over the next decade. He's WAY AHEAD of Fury, Joshua, Usyk at 21.

You're being utterly hypothetical, and you need to accept Itauma lost and got exposed - fair and square.

Don't get me wrong Itauma is a very dangerous 3 rounder who is explosive, fast and powerful. But, his stamina, ring IQ, and his chin is clearly poor. We've seen many fighters like this before, Tommy Morrison for example.
