both looked fit at weigh in. Whyte down like 20lbs. Ituama down 10lbs. and ****, Hrgovic looks in shape too. think he's down 10lbs from last fight.
Itauma has fought about 25 pro rounds in total. He's done 6 rounds twice and never been beyond 6. It's fair to raise a question mark over him doing 10 rounds because he's never done it before.
I am fine to give my prediction with what I saw in the ring and forget about all the off-ring narratives created from this or that. Itauma indeed. By TKO. Whether he’s Gen Z, a Millennial, or a Boomer at heart, it won’t change the result — too much talent.
More hope than anything. There is nothing more fun than watching a hype train get derailed. Plus I like picking against the crowd.
They’re BOTH in great shape. Neither have ****ed around. Whyte is down what 20lbs, and Ituama down 10lbs? This may be a wild Foreman-Lyle style shootout. one of the things that swings me heavily toward Ituama is that every current or former fighter picks Ituama. I haven’t heard a single one who thinks Whyte has much of a chance. I’m just some fan, I assume these guys know this **** a hell of a lot better than I do. Chisora said he was offered $2mil for the fight and was like “nope, this kid’s on a tear”. He said he thinks “there’s no light at the end of that tunnel” for Whyte. Me, as some casual fan, seeing a grizzled warrior say THAT about Ituama? I tend to think Chisora has a much better eye for this **** than me? upsets can happen, but still.
What if we see the return of the Legendary Southpaw Whyte? Arguably his best round against Tyson Fury and I don't think Itauma or Davison will have Southpaw Whyte as part of their infamous "gameplan"
My gut says Moses via early stoppage but they obviously know Whyte can really crack with that left hook so we might see Moses box smart and take a more patient approach for the first few rounds. But even if he does I can also see him catching and hurting Whyte early without even trying to and pouncing on him and getting him out of there
Yeah I haven't really seen people saying that Itauma might try play this smart and take his time rather than rushing for the KO. But it definitely makes sense that it's something he could do, especially with the level of step up and potential risk that Whyte represents.
Does Ituama rush for KO’s? Rewatching his KO reel, it mostly seems he just looks for openings and throws single punches, and he throws single punch counters, and the KO’s just happen because he hits hard and the opponents don’t see it coming.
Yeah probably inaccurate wording on my part, but he does put himself at risk and leave himself open to land those shots. Look at the Wach fight, he was out of position quite a lot, but Wach didn't have any capacity to punish it as an example.
Due to always betting against the clear favorite to try an make extra coin, Im taking Whyte to win. He looks in really good shape, best we've seen in a long time, he looks to have the mentality of "Im coming to f*ck sh*t up".
