I think Burns has enough to take a close points win but Moses is a very live underdog and I don't think a Moses win would be as big an upset as the odds suggest. He's a very solid fighter but seemed to lack desire against Acosta, it looked like he could have continued but quit instead. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rgiZu-f068[/ame]
Yeah I kind of fancy him to win as well. Mainly because I'm still not convinced by Ricky Burns and Moses is a decent fighter. But fair play to Frank and Ricky for making this fight, could be very tough. I get accused of hating on Ricky Burns but when he's in fights like this I hope he does well. This is the minimum level of opponent we should expect for an apparent world title fight and it's fine. Evensen, Laryea and Cook aren't. My prediction will be Burns to edge close-ish decision. Maybe 8-4 with the cards slightly wider.
It's no routine walkover like many may feel, he's a decent operator but i feel Burns will win on points.
Weird thread. Anyway, this fight smacks of a payday for Moses. I can actually see Burns stopping him.
Agreed. IMO Moses isn't World class. Kobori was on the fringes (and has done nothing since) and Acosta was class and walked all over Moses. Still, Burns doesn't look formidable. Should be a good fight, with Burns being more confident with his output. Moses isn't really all that as a puncher from what I've seen either.
i havent heard anyone calling it a routine walkover. anyone that knows anything about boxing knows Moses is a good fight.
Move on, he's moved up a weight and fought a top level world class operator and beat him handily which not many thought he would and now he's taking on another top quality fighter.
