..would've beaten PBF. Mosley is noticeably slower and so tight. He doesn't get his punches off well, basically pulls his shots. The fight vs. Oscar 10 years ago Shane was fast and fukin furious. Different outcome if this was 10 years ago, but it's not. Shane's the man though, but his time has almost come to retire.

This Shane isnt half the fighter he was back then neither was Oscar when he fought Floyd,i would pick the Shane and Oscar of their first fight to beat Mayweather.

Would've been the same result, only difference would be the number of rounds it takes Mayweather to adjust.

Absolutely. The 12th round of Mosley - De La Hoya showcased 2 fabulous fighter in their prime going toe to toe.........it is mesmerizing stuff. Both fighters at that stage would beat any version of Mayweather.

If old shane rocked him like that, young Shane would've torn him up. I like PBF as a fighter, don't get me wrong, but Shane was on a whole different level than he is now. Just watch the 1st fight vs. Oscar. Beautiful combo's, and faster than floyd. Floyd edged an older Oscar out and dominated an old Mosley. Both of those guys in their prime would've given PBF HELL. You can't deny that, come on

would've put up a better fight. but i will still be expecting a floyd UD. a younger shane's chance is to use better footwork and handspeed to catch floyd hard and go for the kill. but floyd's ability to control the pace of the fight is what makes me doubt about the chances of any version of shane.

...but at the end of the day, i'll still hate floyd and root for shane lol

Indeed i agree,Mosley was still throwing bombs in combinations in the 12th round of that fight compare that to the Mosley of last night that was already gasping for air at the end of the second and tell me Shane isnt shot.

    Agree with the TS.

Age is the ultimate Undefeated Champion of all sports. Boxing is no exception, and it's time for Mosley to accept reality and consider promoting full time and get ready for his plaque at Canastota.

You're talking to a massive fan of Mosely. I don't need to watch the first with Oscar fight again as ive followed his entire career closely. Even when Floyd was badly hurt he still empoyled a defensive stance that made mosley tentative and hesitant, i see no reason to assume that would'nt happen in his prime. And you cant pick and choose attributes to make a perfect Mosley. He was fast and fluid in his prime, but he was always an accumulation puncher, he didnt possess one punch power until relatively late in his career. I dont deny that the fight would've been closer, he just would'nt have won.

You mean the 'drugged up to the eyeballs' version of Mosley?

Shane got absolutely massacred for 11 out of 12 rounds by this guy, who was way sharper, quicker than fighters Shane has struggled with and showed he can take a shot, adapt and never take it again

I say Shane loses at any point in his career against Mayweather. This was a style fight, not an age one.

That was the 2nd fight vs. Oscar, not the first

Of course shane's age played a factor. There is no question about that. he was slower and clearly had worse stamina. Once Floyd starting landing those right hands shane looked like he was going to pass out.

That being said, you can't really say for certain that Floyd wouldn't have been able to win against a prime mosley. It may not have been as one sided but there is still a shot he would have outboxed him.

He fought the best shane mosley that was available to him and did what he had to do. Can't blame him if Shane waited till he was this old to accept the fight.
