Cotto is a better body puncher, despite Mosley being excellent in this area.

I think we really need to remember that Cotto had quite abit of trouble with Malinaggi. It was a hard fought battle. Now can we honestly compare Malinaggi with Mosley? Mosley is twice as slick, smart and powerful. I'm a fan of both Cotto and Mosley but I feel Mosley has the edge for this reason. Mosley late KO

I'll stick to my original predication made a few months back, and say Mosley stops Cotto in the later rounds.

Mosley is too durable, and too fast. He stops Cotto in the mid to late rounds

Mosley is 7 years past his best and even at his best, this isn't his weight class. Cotto by TKO.

"If I win against Cotto, the next fight that would of course be with
Floyd Mayweather Jr.", Mosley said. "They say he is the best pound-
for-pound fighter in the sport and therefore I would like to fight
him. But that would only happen if he beats Ricky Hatton and if I
beat Miguel Cotto, and I know Cotto is going to be a very hard, very
difficult fight. Cotto is a great welterweight champion. If the fight
(with Mayweather) doesn't happen, I might consider not fighting
anymore." Shane Mosley in an interview "Mayweather Next or Retirement" with El Nuevo Dia.

Mosley said there was no interest in facing the winner of the
February unification between welterweight champions Paul Williams
(WBO) and Kermit Cintron (IBF). He appears to have the mindset of
    Mayweather or bust.
