Mosley - a true WW champion now?

Paul Williams???

 

Mosley is the champion. How hard is it to come to this conclusion? He beat the champion Margarito. Its not difficult people. BUT, He not is the Ring Champion or the man in the division my ass. Those are mythical rankings. Deal with reality instead. Mosley is the champion because he beat the champion.

 

Who else are holding belts besides BERTO! He's not really a champ in my eyes. If it's PAUL WILLIAMS...he's got just as much right to the claim of 147 pound champ that Shane does.

 

Mosley is the man right now based on his huge knockout victory over who was considered to be "the man." If Mosley beat either Cotto or Williams than I'd give him the ring belt! Till than he's the hottest WW out there and will be tough for anyone to beat if he has the right game plan!

 

You really don't know the other belt holders at 147?? Where have you been?? Mosley, Berto, Clottey, and Cotto vs Jennings winner will have the 4 "main belts." Cotto should knock jennings out with his eyes closed though!

 

Shanes my favorite but I agree with Eze for once hes number 1 but not a linear Champion yet. Cotto and Margarito where 1 and 2 as of Saturday before the fight and Mosley while number 3 did beat number 1 that only rewards a guy the title under special circumstances and this time is not one of them since Cotto does techniqually own a W over Mosley. I hope Mosley-Cotto II happens next but Arum is hell bent on a Margarito rematch for Cotto which sucks if you ask me Margarito got beat extremly bad he should earn his way back into a mega fight if he narrowly lost to Mosley then its a different story but his life is at risk vs Cotto IMO.

 

Beating Cotto or Williams would give him the Linear / Ring title.


But Cotto is going to fight Margo for sure so, Mosley would have to fight Williams IMO or winner of Margo-Cotto 2 to get recognized.

 

He's the WBA champion but he doesn't have the WBC and IBF titles. Still, he's obviously the strongest of the three champions.

 

I dont even think unifying matters much anymore in the lower divisions. People constantly prefer to hold onto one title.

Cotto Jennings is for a vacant title.

Clottey just beat Judah for a vacant title.

Berto has held the WBC the longest of any belt holder but hes barely cracking top 5 on anyones list. (I have him at 6/7)
