that would be a mismatch,Mosleys too big,too fast and too powerfull for JMM.

    JMM would get crushed.

JMM is basically a featherweight and he's only climbing up in weight because he desperately wants another crack at Pacquiao.
I personally think 140 might be too much for him and moving up any higher than that gives his opponent too big an advantage.
JMM could fight Valero, Prescott, Campbell or the winner of Pacquiao-Hatton.
Shane could fight Williams then the Cotto-Clottey winner.
I think they both have options.

Some of you are not going to agree, but as a JMM supporter, I'd welcome a Mosely fight for JMM......

Mosely throughout his career has had trouble vs real skilled boxers......the times he's looked spectacular were against fighters like Margarito who only know one way to fight......

Marquez would be a fighter that would give Mosely too many looks and angles......

To give an example and put it in baseball terms, I'd describe Mosely as a fastball hitter.....a fighter who is very comfortable when you bring the heat at him....but a fighter who fails and looks less than average when you mix in curves and offspeed stuff.....

If these two were to matchup at a reasonable weight, (I'd say 143 lbs) I'd pick JMM to outbox Mosely convincingly.
I believe Mosely's skills as a boxer are overrated.....I think he'd do alot better if he put something behind his jab, but he really just uses it as a range finder and paws with it to then open up with big shots.....against a fine a boxer like JMM, you cant go pawing in there like that, cause you're going to get countered with a hammering right hand.

......in any regards, its been too long since Mosely fought at under 147 lbs, and in recent years has fought more at 154 lbs than at 147 lbs......I seriously doubt that Mosely could make a catchweight of 143 lbs, and if he did, he'd likely be weakened enough that JMM might even dispatch him like he did Casamayor and Juan Diaz.

Btw, I'm also of the opinion that Mosely would have a hard time winning a round off of Mayweather.

Vernon Forrest and Winky Wright, both skillful boxers that Mosely had trouble with......
Even Mayorga threw Mosely in for a loop, when he did'nt come out aggressively in Mayorga style, and for long stretches in their fight boxed with Mosely.....Mosely looked terrible in that fight.

I reckon Mosely is at the stage in career right now that Roberto Duran was at when he was in his mid to late 30's.......he can deal with one dimensional fighters who come foward, but have trouble against multifaceted skill fighters.

I say this with all sincerity, Mosely is not as good at this point as the Margarito fight would lead you to believe.

I agree that Mosley is not as good as the Margarito fight would lead us to believe.
I don't think Mosley has good legs anymore. His hands are still there, but his feet are not.
Against a straight forward type of guy, Mosley can look good. Against people with more movement, I think Shane will look bad.

Exactly, I had noticed that before, but even against a non-boxer like Mayorga, Mosely's legs did'nt look balanced because Mayorga was jerking in and out and even giving Shane feints.....

JMM and Mosely both deserve big paydays and they don't need Pac or FLoyd for it to happen.

I'd be happy for both of them if this fight were made.

Horrible fight for JMM who would get clobbered by Mosley who's just too naturally strong for him. As far as the both of them being out in the cold, I saw it coming from a mile away. Both stubbornly and justly want mega fights and when only a select few can represent a mega fight then great fighters idling for a while is the result ah la Winky.
